Piping success at the Scottish championships

KINTYRE Schools Pipe Band (KSPB) were declared the best in Scotland in their grade at last weekend’s Scottish Pipe Band Championships.

Many of the young players in the Novice Juvenile B band are competing in their first major season so it was a remarkable achievement.

Together with the 3A band they had an early start and left the town at 6.30am last Saturday morning for the championships, held at Levengrove Park in Dumbarton on Saturday.
