Businesses in Kintyre are being encouraged to join an initiative offering refuge to disabled, vulnerable and older people, in a bid to tackle disability hate crimes.
Police Scotland areleading the initiative to create more Keep Safe Places, which help people in Argyll and Bute feel confident, safe and free from the fear of abuse, intimidation and harassment.
It turns local shops, businesses, offices and tourist attractions into safe places for people to go if they need help, and there are already two in Campbeltown - at Argyll Community Housing Association’s office and Woodlands Resource Centre.
