The good times roll with Kawasaki’s sensational superbikes. You might have met the nicest people on a Honda, but Kawasaki were hell-bent on letting the good times roll a little faster. Those advertising slogans just about sum up the differing philosophies of the two companies in the ’70s and underline the difference between Honda’s pioneering CB750 and Kawasaki’s beast of a Z1 that upstaged it. Honda wanted to be accepted particularly in the fast growing US market while Kawasaki just wanted to build the meanest, fastest road bikes on the planet. And, with the Z1, that’s exactly what they did.
