Bird’s bash, sticky stuff & turtle track

Thirty rocks Go, FeederWatch! It’s your birthday! That’s right: the program, launched by Bird Studies Canada and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology in 1987, has turned the big three-oh. The citizen science project encourages bird-loving, binocular-toting folks to take note of any species that they see during the winter and early spring months and report their data to program ornithologists, who track bird population movement and trends. To learn more, visit feederwatch.org. And don’t worry, FeederWatch. Thirty is still the new 20. (It is, isn’t it? Isn’t it?)
