Q
What is Britain’s bestselling fish?
A
Salmon It knocked tuna off the top spot in 2015. Despite the diverse populations found in the waters around our islands, an estimated 75 per cent of British fish and seafood sales is made up of just five species: salmon, cod, tuna, warm water prawns and haddock. Eating a diverse range of fish and seafood species – apart from the ‘big five’ – is a good way to take the pressure off overfished stocks, cutting ‘bycatch’ waste and letting you discover new flavours and textures.
