Delving into delicious. for education inspiration…
Subject: No waste – food or paper! From: Jack
As a cookery teacher in a secondary school, I often plan lessons around delicious. articles. After attending a decluttering class, however, I realised my back catalogue of magazines was taking up too much space, so I set about sorting recipes into a tidy folder.
You’ll be pleased to learn that very little went to waste. Pages have been upcycled into interesting displays, from food waste (a subject that gets mentioned daily in class) to burgers and pasta dishes (thanks for the huge variety over the years) and revision prompts... All from materials I might not have seen for years. Thanks for keeping the magazine current.
Subject: Memories of France From: Angie Coombs
Debora Robertson’s feature [Feb, p54] was beautifully written and conjured up the atmosphere, smells and sounds of the French fish markets. We spent a year travelling through France and Spain, and shopping for dinner was a pleasure – Imiss it dreadfully. I made the haddock parmentier as a celebration of those times and am so looking forward to reading more from Debora.
