Honey’s production process is a miraculous thing.
Honeybees collect nectar (a sugary liquid) from flowering plants. As they carry it back to the hive, the bees pass droplets of nectar to worker bees, who chew on it for a while, then regurgitate it into the honeycomb cells. They then fan the cells with their wings, which evaporates the water and reduces the nectar to a thick, syrupy honey. Finally, the bees seal the wax cells of the honeycomb, where the honey can be stored indefinitely until needed. A more natural product is hard to find – but is it naturally good for you?
