Pubs are in my blood. My mum and dad ran them for nearly 25 years, and the smell of stale smoke and beer on the carpet is pure nostalgia. They’re a great British institution. Now I run The Green Man in Bedfordshire with my brother Ben, and I’m so proud to have our own pub. You can’t be lonely in a pub. It’s the hub of the community – so much more than a drinking den.
