EXPERT GUIDE

GREAT BEGINNINGS
BEST WINES FOR BRUNCH OR APERITIFS Keep it light and easy for the first tipple of the day. Bubbles always taste refreshingly clean and crisp on the tongue, and sparklers also go well with eggs (I’m thinking scrambled with smoked salmon). Otherwise, German riesling and Portuguese vinho verde, often naturally low in alcohol, take the honours.
