If you want the chance to brush up on your breadmaking skills or have a hack at butchery, this competition might get you very excited. To celebrate River Cottage’s 10-year anniversary in its Devon HQ, home to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s famous and much-filmed farmhouse, we’ve teamed up with the River Cottage Cookery School to offer you the chance to perfect a wide range of kitchen skills.
The winner and a guest will take part in the Two Days at River Cottage course, covering the basics of breadmaking; meat, vegetable and fish cookery; and creating great desserts. Against the stunning rural backdrop of River Cottage HQ, you’ll start both days with treats fresh from the kitchen, before getting stuck into hands-on classes and demonstrations led by the River Cottage chefs and tutors. Lunch is included and, after a hard day’s cooking, you’ll relax and enjoy the fruits of your labour with a three-course supper.

The cookery school
