SOME GREEN FINGERS
There’s never been a better time to appreciate the good greenery does us, be it relaxing in your own outdoor space or, if you don’t have any, nurturing houseplants and windowsill herbs.
For inspiration, try out gardening app Candide, which is free to download and has lots of useful tools, including advice on growing edible plants and ideas for recipes. Users can also ask the community for advice, share photos and enjoy atmospheric audio tours of some of the UK’s best public gardens.
Visit deliciousmagazine.co.uk/what-to-plant-in-june for advice on what to plant now, too, and don’t forget to support your local garden centre, as their closure risks thousands of perishable plants being thrown way. Stark fact: the industry is estimated to lose £687 million in sales by the end of June. If you’re inspired to get gardening, ordering a delivery from your local centre could really help at a time when these businesses need support most.

A VIRTUAL NIGHT OUT
The National Theatre has made some of its live filmed productions, previously broadcast in cinemas, available to view for free on YouTube.
First to be uploaded in April was the smash hit One Man, Two Guvnors, starring James Cordon, followed by Jane Eyre, Treasure Island and Twelfth Night, with more to be announced. A new title premieres every Thursday at 7pm and is then available for seven days on demand.
