Diesel&EcoCar Magazine 298 Back Issue

It’s the biggest issue of the year, where we proudly announce the very best cars on sale in 2012. We scour ten separate categories to find the pinnacle of each segment, awarding them the coveted title of Best Car in the 2012 Diesel Car, Car of the Year awards. It’s been an interesting year, with plenty of new talent entering the marketplace, but the only way you’ll find out who has won, is by buying the June 2012 issue of Diesel Car.
But that’s not all, we put through Kia’s new cee’d through its paces, along with Great Wall’s new Steed, the MINI Roadster and Audi’s A6 allroad. On the Eco Car side of the fence, we get to grips with the Audi A8 Hybrid, the Renault Twizy and Mercedes-Benz E 350 BlueTec Hybrid, and drive Citroën’s stunning new DS5 Hybrid4 in right-hand-drive guise for the first time.
We’ve got a triple test of medium hatchbacks for you this month, as we pitch Hyundai’s all-new i30 up against the facelifted Mazda3 and the Chrysler Delta – which one comes out on top? We also grab the keys to Mercedes-Benz’s new B-Class and put it head to head against the Ford C-MAX with surprising results. And in our comprehensive used car section, we take a look at the previous generation Suzuki Swift 1.3 DDiS.

diesel, green cars, electric mag

The UK’s leading magazine for diesel, green cars, electric, hybrids and alternative fuelled vehicles, full of advice on tech, mechanics, future plans. great photos inspiring reviews Reviewed 21 August 2022

I like the way it has evolved over the years

I have been buying it in print and online since the early 2000s and I like that it always has focused on the economy end of motoring, or us cheapskates if you like. It has moved to covering hybrids and electric cars which is good, and hasn't forgotten its roots - diesels.

It's a friendly, down to early mag and Doctor Diesel is still the best bit.
