By the mid-1960s, most tractor manufacturers were on the articulated four-wheel-drive tractor bandwagon. One long-running brand was notoriously missing from the crowd: Minneapolis-Moline.

Minneapolis-Moline (M-M) was one of the pioneer tractor manufacturers, with a rich history of innovation and reliability. Unfortunately, by the ’60s their star had significantly faded. In 1963, White Motor Company acquired M-M, and that was just a year after acquiring Cockshutt in Canada and nearly three years after grabbing up Oliver. A great deal of rebadging and model line consolidation had already occurred, plus a certain amount of technological blending. This continued once M-M was folded into the White organization.
