Ford hit a homerun with this latest Super Duty truck. From the bold looks to the incredible ride quality and the proven 6.7L Power Stroke under the hood, how could an owner not fall in love with this truck every time he (or she) drives it? While it’s pretty good in stock form, there is always room for improvement.

The Ford Super Duty has evolved so much since it was introduced in 1999, from the 7.3L Power Stroke to the 6.0L in 2003. Then the first major emissions-compliant engine with the 6.4L in 2008, and finally on to the latest 6.7L Power Stroke powerplant introduced in 2011. The Super Duty saw the conversion from leaf springs up front to coil springs, a handful of transmission choices, and so many grille and headlight combos we wouldn’t be able to list them. But over that 17-year span the basic chassis and body went mostly unchanged. Cue the 2017 model year that rolled out an all-new, from-the-ground-up truck. A bold new look with that potent 6.7L engine and stout 6R140 transmission. Interior features and technology we couldn’t have imagined needing five years ago, and that full aluminum body. Ford went to great lengths to create some hype over that new body, marketing specifically around it, and the new chassis and body sparked all sorts of new aftermarket product lines catering to the 2017+ Ford trucks. So naturally, here is the start to a new mild project, AlumiDuty.
