EDITOR’S LETTER

For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to be a journalist. I’m not sure where I got the idea, but from a young age I longed to be part of Newsround’s Press Pack, and dreamed of one day working at the Daily Planet alongside Clark Kent and Lois Lane. Being ictional, working at the Daily Planet was kind of a tough ask. So as adulthood became less of an abstract concept, I had to igure out what kind of journalist I wanted to be and what kind of stories I wanted to tell. My course at uni taught me how to write a news story, and as we approached graduation, my grades were good and my lecturers were happy. But I still didn’t really know what kinds of stories I wanted to tell.
