Doom Coalition 2

AUDIO DRAMA

BIG FINISH

RRP £20 (CD/download)

Whether it’s the reputation of the scripts or those famous lunches we keep hearing so much about, Big Finish really is attracting an extraordinary calibre of acting talent these days. The call sheet for Doom Coalition 2 wouldn’t disgrace a primetime TV drama – indeed, that’s where most of its cast is usually to be found. And has there ever been a more supercharged TARDIS crew than Paul McGann, Nicola Walker and Hattie Morahan? (That’s the same Nicola Walker who recently took top billing in one of ITV’s most acclaimed dramas in an age. What next – Sir David Jason as K9?) Throw in Mark Bonnar as recurring villain the Eleven – a Time Lord criminal with the ultimate split personality – and Alex Kingston as a certain space-haired archaeologist, and that’s quite some rep company.
