Classic Doctors, New Monsters Volume Two

BIG FINISH RRP £23 (CD), £20 (download) RELEASED

Last year, the Classic Doctors, New Monsters audio anthology paired Doctors from the original twentiethcentury run of Doctor Who with monsters introduced during its twenty-first-century revival. It’s back for a second run this month, with three more modern threats facing a different line-up of Time Lord legends.

“We didn’t want people to be able to predict every move we were going to make in this set,” smiles script editor Matt Fitton, “so our fourth story is a sequel to the first, and we’ve brought the Fourth Doctor in. How can you not make Tom Baker say ‘Vashta Nerada’?!”

Tom’s Doctor encounters said creatures – the shadow-dwelling carnivores from 2008’s Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead – in Night of the Vashta Nerada, written by John Dorney.
