Dolls House and Miniature Scene  |  July 2021
We’re here to celebrate summer this issue! Let’s kick this off with a
huge summer celebration our friends across the pond will be enjoying this month, Independence Day on 4th July, as Sadie Brown discovers a touch of Hollywood, brought together by Terri Davis and Raphael Truffi Bortholuzzi. It really is a fascinating read, how tinsel town came to be and how they brought the famous sign to life through miniature! Another summer spectacle many enjoy is the Olympics, set to take place after being delayed in 2020, and Ruth Flewelling Lesbirel has a project to celebrate her favourite sports; dressage and show jumping. We have our fingers crossed it will happen this year!
Elsewhere, we have plenty more wonderful reads including Moi Ali’s feature on The Frasier Project – we were so interested how Preston Poling created sets and scenes from the famous television show Frasier in mini form! Another must read is how Emma Waddle transformed a Georgian dolls house into a beautiful Rene Mackintosh-style project – it’s a must see!
