Dolls House and Miniature Scene  |  October 2016 (Iss 269)
I’m fully embracing autumn, after all it’s my
favourite season and what’s not to love?
The temperature drops a few degrees, the air con in the office is no longer a topic of discussion, the nights draw in and dare I say it we begin the countdown to Christmas (don’t worry we’re not covering Christmas for a few more issues!)
But my favourite thing about autumn is the change of colour in our surroundings, shades of green and brown on the trees become more prominent and hues of gold and amber more pronounced. Which leads me nicely onto the content in this month’s magazine, where we present to you a series of projects based around autumn.
We welcome Marianne Cook to the magazine who shows you how to create a 1/12th scale cosmos for your garden or greenhouse, Frances Powell knits the most adorable twin set, Sadie Brown shows you how to set the scene in your autumnal themed garden and Stephanie Guy re-creates Paul Gauguin’s Harvest: Le Pouldu. And that’s not all as we also share with you some spooky goings on too, check out Ruth Flewelling Lesbirel’s skeleton room box and read about her trip to Babbacombe Model Village.
