Drama and Theatre  |  Summer 2 - 2014/15
In this issue of Teaching Drama we conclude our year-long focus on the advantages of cross-curricular collaboration, taking a look at how Coombe Boys’ School are using drama in the history classroom to engage students in the story of the Holocaust, and how now>press>play is teaching maths through interactive drama to raise attainment in primary schools. With the summer holidays fast approaching, we consider the value of work experience placements to help students get ahead in the theatre industry; the RSC’s ‘massive open online courses’ make distance learning interactive; TD’s green room panel examine whether the reforms to GCSE and A-level drama will benefit students; drama education in China; a beginner’s introduction to Le Navet Bete; accents for students; and Gurinder Chadha talks to TD about her musical adaptation of Bend It Like Beckham.
