Once you have got over your initial excitement that your weeks or months of waiting for your DNA results is over you will probably look at all the matches with a growing sense of confusion and surprise.
I have been researching my tree for more than 30 years and I remember thinking that not one person on my first few pages of DNA test results had any surnames I recognised and all their trees seemed to be based in the US. From talking to other testers that is perfectly normal.
