Spotlight on... the Anglo-German Family History Society

Over the centuries, large numbers of Germanspeakers settled in London and other towns and cities in England, Scotland and Wales. The two world wars of the 20th century caused many people with German ancestry to hide it – many changed their name, making it more difficult to trace them. But there has never been a better time to research Germans in the UK, now that so many records are online here and in Europe, and with DNA to help break brick walls down.
