FERTILITY JOURNEYS: IVF TREATMENT... WITH KLINIKK HAUSKEN

It’s time to catch up with our couple, Terri and Kieran, who have already experienced good news in their time working with Norwegian fertility experts Klinikk Hausken.

Terri writes…

Since we started the process a few weeks ago, it has been a complete whirlwind.

It all started with us flying out to Norway in early May for some tests. The clinic kindly organised this for us, sorting out the flights and accommodation. We got to meet the team at the clinic; everyone was so welcoming and kind. While we were there Dr Hausken did some tests on myself and Kieran, including scans, blood and sperm tests to see if anything had previously been missed. We got the test results back while we were there and the clinic were happy for us to start our treatment as soon as we were ready.

Naturally, we were both keen to get started as soon as possible and as I was coincidentally partway through my current cycle we were told we could kick things off the following week. To help with the treatment Dr Hausken suggested I had an endometrial scratch - a procedure that helps the embryos implant. Throughout all of this, I am happy to try anything to help improve our chances of success, so I agreed to have it done. It didn’t really hurt and was over quite quickly.
