Ford & Fordson  |  Major Job
Despite the cover date, this is the first issue of 2014 and so let me take this opportunity to wish youall a Happy New Year! Christmas came and went in a flash and, by and large, the appalling weather wasn’t
conducive to getting out on tractors – but a good time was had by all in the Lambert household nonetheless. Sadly, I now have to share some
not-so-good news with you. It is with a heavy heart that I announce
that this will be my last issue of Ford & Fordson Tractors. I’m relinquishing my position in the seat to enable Howard Sherren to take control of the Select-O-Speed lever! Many of you will be familiar with Howard’s work, but for those of you that don’t know him, I can
assure you that you’re in capable hands. As for me, I’m not straying too far – but, before I go, I’d like to express my gratitude for welcoming me
into the blue fold. I don’t have any Fords or Fordsons in my collection
and I am aware that there was some concern over this when my tenure
began but, as I hope you will have noticed, my passion for tractors
is not confi ned to one marque. As long as you can plough a fi eld with
it, I’m a happy man! Even in my short time at the helm, I’ve been amazed at how many of you collect, restore, show and work blue tractors. It seems that there’s always someone with an interesting tale to tell – and long may it last. Please continue to send in details of your tractors and equipment, as I’m sure Howard will be as keen to read about them as I am – but, for now, all that’s left for me to do is to thank you for your support... Without you F&FT wouldn’t be where it is today. Best wishes,
