GT Porsche November 2013
Three and half years after the covers were whisked off the 918 Spyder concept car at the Geneva Motor Show Porsche has delivered the finished production car. Revealed at last month’s Frankfurt Motor Show, not only did Porsche lay on the man behind the project, Dr Frank Walliser to explain how he has developed such a remarkably complex road car, but they also revealed how they set the car’s blistering Nürburgring lap time.
In this issue we also have our first drive of the all new 911 Turbo, the mighty 991 Turbo S and take the opportunity to celebrate 40 years of the Turbo with a final drive of the out going 997 Turbo S. We’ve also enjoyed one of the most excessive 911 Turbos Porsche ever built, the 930 SE Cabriolet.
This month we have also been to the wonderful Classics at the Castle event, take at look at 996 Turbo values and look back at a season of track days covered by our long-term fleet. This is on top of our regular columns, news and advice. Enjoy the issue.
