EATING OUT SPECIAL
CHRISTMAS COMES BUT ONCE A YEAR, yet so often it’s bookended with months of pretoxing and detoxing to compensate for the inevitable festive weight gain (studies estimate we’ll welcome in the new year 5lb heavier). The seemingly endless supply of mince pies, chocolates and goose-fat-roasted everything isn’t the only thing to blame for the extra pounds, though. Countrywide, December diaries will be filling up with dates for meals out with friends, family and colleagues, and staying true to our inner healthy eater becomes trickier the minute we take our seat at the restaurant table.
