Lacking a back-up plan? That might not be a bad thing, according to research from the Wisconsin School of Business, USA. Through a series of experiments, the study found that people who knew they had a fallback didn’t work as hard, and were consequently less successful at achieving their primary goal, compared to those without one. Time to chase that dream – your single-mindedness may be less ‘risky’ than you think.
