They found that families who regularly spend time together outside tend to function better. Getting out in nature for as little as 20 minutes restores attention so you feel less irritable and have more self-control, which helps you get along. Making it a habit, like introducing a weekend morning stroll for example, also gives your family a sense of identity and belonging. So if you want to avoid festive bust-ups, bust out!
