Taking the plantbased plunge
I am so glad I read ‘Choosing to go vegan is a privilege’ (October/November). I’ve been a vegetarian for 15 years and wanted to take that one step further and go vegan, but wasn’t sure where to start. After reading about budget chef Jack Monroe, I realise it’s NOT as daunting as I thought. The idea of making big lifestyle changes is a lot scarier than actually doing them. So I’m going to focus on making one change at a time, then the progression will feel quite natural. The first step will be familiarising myself with what food and drinks I can have, to help me feel prepared and knowledgeable. I am ready for this – thank you for the motivation.
