PRESCRIPTION PARK
Research suggests that spending just 20 minutes in a park can improve your happiness – and that’s regardless of whether you’re exercising or relaxing. That’s because it’s contact with the natural environment that matters, rather than sweating your way to an endorphin boost. The study found that people who spent time in a popular local park benefited from stress reduction and managed to kick mental fatigue to the kerb after soaking up some park life. Blur were on to something.
