I have never been afraid to just be myself

Although she wasn’t looking for a ‘fixer upper’, one found Jenna Greenwood and she was just the person to bring it back to life

Welcome to my home

A bit about me

I’m Jenna Greenwood and I live with my partner, Gary, and our dog, Crumpet.

Where i live

Our home is a four-bedroom Victorian terrace in Shipley.

What i wanted to change

The previous owner had been an elderly lady and she’d been in residential care for two years. Everything was stripped out, except the toilet and the kitchen sink. It was a blank canvas, but we were a million miles away from slapping any paint on the walls!

How i made it my own

Every room has a theme. It wasn’t the way we intended, it’s just how it ended up but I think it works really well.

My favourite part

Definitely the living area. It reflects the mid-century styles I was inspired by when we first started decorating the room.

About Homestyle

After several months of grumbling from under a blanket, spring is traditionally the time we roll up our sleeves and resolve to get organised (maybe after just one more cup of tea). If you’re not feeling fully fired up yet, our savvy storage solutions on page 92 will help you get the ball rolling, including three key looks to suit every style. And if that doesn’t do the trick, dive straight into our collection of the very best hacks for every room, starting on page 63. With ideas for saving money, time and effort, your life will never be the same again – and you won’t be looking back! For those yet to purchase your dream home, never fear. Hayley Gilbert is on hand to break down the headache-inducing process of finding a mortgage into bitesize chunks on page 82. Already settled with a few little ones to keep entertained? Ashlyn Gibson has stepped in with imaginative ideas to transform your spaces into magical (yet practical) playgrounds on page 98. And last but not least, don’t miss our special bonus magazine – free with this issue – which is just brimming with inspiration and simple ideas for showing your kitchen and bathroom some love. From key accessories to boost the space, to a mirror that morphs into a telly at the end of your bath, there’s something for all tastes and bank balances. Enjoy.
