A multi-let house is now our family home
A twist of fate saw Katie Lewis snap up a bargain ex-multi-let property, which she lovingly and creatively renovated from top to bottom

Kitchen
‘The colour of the kitchen wall was inspired by the garden, as we wanted to bring the outside in and give the feeling of sunshine. We made do with the existing worktops, as they tied in with the décor and they were in good condition. However, I set about customising the cabinets and painted them all a lovely grey colour. It only took me about eight hours from start to finish and has given them a completely new lease of life.’
‘My husband and I are all about fun and personality; we love a vast variety of colours and patterns so we just went for it!’

Welcome to my home
A bit about me
I’m Katie Lewis and I run Meraki Interior Design. I’m married to Ben and we have two daughters; Ellie, two, and Molly, who’s 12.
Where I live
We’ve lived in our four-bedroom home in Lincoln for five years now, and just love it.
What I wanted to change
We were desperate to get our house back into some sort of home, as it was a multi-let before, so there were random doors and partition walls up all over the house.
How I made it my own
Getting colour on the walls was our priority as the house lacked in personality – every wall was magnolia!
