If you’re an owner, considering the future of your horse in the event of your death can be a difficult subject to contemplate, but it’s something you have a responsibility to think about and there are steps you can take to ensure your horse is well cared for should they outlive you.
You may already have a will in place for your general estate, but does it include provisions for your horse? If not, or if you haven’t already made a will, by adding specific instructions to it you’ll have the peace of mind that your horse will have a secure future and will also avoid being included as part of your overall estate by default.
