MY LIFE with horses
Fitting showjumping in around a full-time job plus two demanding part-time roles, digital communications officer Paige gives us a glimpse of herbusydiary

Norfolk-based Paige lives with her family, retired pony Humbug and Aero the Border Collie. She balances three jobs – full time as a scientific digital communications officer, plus out-of-hours as a locum vet and part-time as a children’s author – with loaning 15-year-old ISH, Blue, who she showjumps.
Recently I’ve made the move away from full-time vet work to balance horses and pursue my author career, so my week begins in a more relaxed manner than before. My mum turns the horses out, which gives me time to squeeze in some writing between my 6am alarm and work at 8:30am. Once I get to my desk, I schedule some social posts, update our website and catch up on breaking news from the weekend. At 4:30pm, I head home to school Blue and finish off the horses – I’m lucky I can adjust my hours to fit in riding after work.
