Summer salads are a real must in our household and so we grow and eat lots of lettuce. Always on the lookout for something new and novel to ring the changes, I came across a variety with a truly unusual story the first to be grown in space on the International Space Station. Well, what with that and the fact that it produces eye-catching red leaves that are bound to make a splash in the salad bowl, I just had to give it a try.
