Welcome... to this lovely Christmassy issue of Knit Now!

We’re getting into a more festive mood this month, with lots of garments and gift ideas for all the family.

As I type, the rain is pouring down outside, making me want to wrap myself up in cosy knits – and we have plenty in this issue. The colourful Lauscha cardigan is cheering yet tasteful, and the cuddly Check Me Out jumper is a great statement knit that is sure to keep you warm. Fancy a more obvious Christmas jumper? Try Anni Howard’s colourwork knit! In our supplement, Emma Heywood has designed some fabulously fun knits, but feel free to add your own motif – just grab your Magic Picture Knit Maker and get designing.

Accessories this issue include striking hats (page 30), some of the most Christmassy socks we’ve ever seen, and a stylish modern wrap designed by Georgia Farrell (plus a bonus interview with Georgia!) We’ve also got some adorable toys in the mix – including a topsy turvy Santa doll!

If you need to give your knitting needles a rest, why not check out our Christmas Gift Guide for some inspiration, or learn more about supersize knits. Debbie Tomkies – who’ll you recognise from Ask the Experts – tells us about her City and Guilds-accredited online knitting course, and is offering you lovely readers 20% off!
