Dragons facing rebuild

CATALANS DRAGONS face a root and branch rebuild if they are to recover former glories, according to coach Joel Tomkins.
Another humbling defeat (44-6at Wakefield on Saturday) was a painful reminder of how low Les Dracs have slumped following eight years of growth under former coach Steve McNamara.
The wheels came off midway through last season after a promising start and the club missed the play-offs for the first time in five years. Despite spending heavily on recruitment for 2025 the poor form continued into this season, resulting in the departure of McNamara.
