CASTLEFORD ripped up the formbook to eke out a tremendous victory over a lacklustre Warrington who couldn’t live with their opponents’ power -led by the destructive Jeremiah Simbiken -and enthusiasm.
Simbiken threw his body on the line, ran fantastic lines and inspired his teammates to dent the Wolves’ top six hopes, with Sam Burgess’ men sitting three points behind Hull FC in sixth.
After his first win as interim coach, Chris Chester said: “I’m super proud. We spoke all week about confidence and belief and how our effort levels need to be of a high standard and I thought we got in abundance.
“The confidence we showed to throw the ball about was impressive. We could have held onto that ball in these conditions.
