Gamestar Joe Mellor takes on the Catalans defence
TWELVE-man Catalans came from behind to get out of jail by claiming the victory which all but condemned Salford to finishing bottom of the table.
When forward Franck Maria was sent off after 33 minutes and soon after the Red Devils’ second try, which put them 10-4 up, it looked as if Paul Rowley’s side might be on for back-to-back victories for the first time this season.
But Joel Tomkins’ team had other ideas and put in a stronger second-half showing to turn the tide, although it took a late field-goal to make sure of success.
