Giants staying put for 2026

HUDDERSFIELD will play another season at the Accu Stadium before moving for the 2027 campaign -most likely to The Shay.
Giants owner-chairman Ken Davy is completing a deal to buy the Halifax venue, which he wants to use as a playing base for his club until a new stadium, less than half the size of the 24,500-capacity Accu, is built in Huddersfield.
It had been suggested the Giants, who despite having been in Super League continuously since 2003 are among the nine clubs to have applied to be in the proposed expanded 14-team top flight next year, might move to The Shay partway through 2026.
