Altrincham Society of Artists Ron Moore Macavity, pastel, 14x10in. (35.5x25.5cm). Altrincham Art Society was established in 1937 and is lucky enough to have its own studio. Regular painting sessions are held Monday to Friday, some during the daytime, others in the evenings; and in the summer, outdoor painting sessions are arranged on Monday afternoons. Life-drawing sessions take place once a month, and workshops and demonstrations by professional artists are organised throughout the year. Each year a three-day painting holiday is available for members at a hotel in an interesting location. This year, the holiday will be to Skelwith Bridge in the Lake District. For more information and to see other exhibition winners, go to www.altrinchamsocietyofartists.org.uk
