A new conference is to be held in June aiming to encourage and equip Church of Scotland elders in creating and deepening a culture of discipleship in the church.
The weekend conference, ‘Creating and Deepening Discipleship’, will be run by the Mission and Discipleship Council. It will look at the elder’s role in various church ministries and introduce delegates to six characteristic of Christian discipleship: ‘Faith as a Journey of Discovery’, ‘Understanding Who We are’, ‘Whole-life Worship’, ‘Prayer’, ‘Being a Servant’ and ‘Discipling One Another’.
The conference takes place from June 7-9 at Scottish Police College, Tulliallan Castle, in Fife; and costs £150 (£70 for delegates from Priority Areas parishes) including accommodation and meals.
