Fashion and interiors have always been easy bedfellows and this issue is our testament to just that. Look no further than fashion darling Matthew Williamson, who has recently turned his flamboyant eye to designing wallpapers as well as frocks and created a vibrant home that reflects his confident combination of colour, pattern and global references. Or design entrepreneur Rupert Landendinger, one half of the original By Malene Birger fashion label, whose eclectic, elegant Copenhagen apartment showcases his taste for rich textures and interesting detail. And our decorating shoots have got in on the act too – a pair of denim dungarees is the perfect piece of ‘art’ in the Utah-inspired Natural Wonders story, while the cheeky baseball cap on a graffitied classical bust captures the sense of irrevence and style that both fashion and interiors share and celebrate. We’ve also been giving our own image a bit of a revamp.
Creative director Dina has redesigned the magazine to give it a clean, fashionable edge. And, inspired by Rory Dobner’s super-cool home, we even persuaded him to re-imagine my office, below. I hope you like our new look!
