Karst adrift

The cliffs in El Nido are formed from limestone laid down 250 million years ago in a shallow sea, forced upward as a result of the collision of tectonic plates beneath India and mainland China

One of the most popular and iconic activities to do while staying in El Nido on Palawan is an island-hopping boat tour. The tour I was on consisted of swimming, snorkelling, eating fresh barbecued fish on an isolated beach and exploring Miniloc Island.
