Refurbished in 2013, the interior is a design lesson in understated, grown-up luxury, all exposed stonework, weathered oak and natural fabrics. There are more playful quirks here too, with topiary rabbits at the door, saucy postcards in the loos, and an open kitchen in the modern dining room extension.
