A comprehensive 10LP and 5CD Allman Brothers boxset arrives later this month, celebrating the 50thanniversary of the band’s formation. It features classic material, live performances, rarities and seven previously unreleased tracks – including the Southern rock legends’ first recording, the original 1969 demo of Trouble No More. Th e demo, for the band’s debut album, opens disc one of the huge collection of the same name, featuring 61 tracks, released on 28 February via Island Mercury/UMC. Th e set is divided into the five distinct eras of the band and has been produced by Allman Brothers Band historians Bill Levenson, John Lynskey and Kirk West. Also inside the wood-veneer wrapped slipcase is a 56-page book that includes a 9,000-word essay on the band by John Lynskey.
