Frontman Pascal Danaë, drummer Baptiste Brondy and sousaphone player Rafgee are Guadeloupe blues trio Delgres. A melting pot of French and Caribbean music and Black Keys-like garage blues, Mo Jodi was inspired by Louis Delgrès, an instrumental figure in the fight against colonial slavery. Filthy slide guitar collides with Caribbean rhythms and a powerful message to tremendous effect.
