Mental Health Nursing meets the art psychotherapist and head arts therapist at East London NHS Foundation Trust

What is the biggest challenge you are facing at the moment?

Being seen as the fringe. The arts therapies have a long history of successful work with a whole range of mental health problems but they have occupied a space on the margins of more mainstream interventions.

It’s great that Mental Health Nursing is doing this themed edition and I think there is now more interest in what we do, but there is still a lot of misunderstanding.
