Military Modelling International Magazine  |  Vol46 No1
Firstly, I'd like to wish readers an early Happy New Year as this marks the first issue in a new volume of MM – now in its 46th year of continuous publication! On the front cover is something a little different as Adrian Hopwood presents his version of what Boudicca's daughter might have looked like. In our lead feature he describes how he painted an Origen Art 1:9 scale bust to represent the famous Iceni Queen's daughter. Mac McConnell then begins a two-part build and paint feature for Xact's excellent 1:35 scale Soviet T80U MBT kit. Next Paul Brent Adams describes how to achieve a winter finish on small scale models with a minimum of fuss. Doug Miller then models a 1:45 scale diorama depicting an incident during the German Peasants' War in 1525. Peter Gillson then works his magic on a Dragon Hetzer kit to turn it into the 15cm sIG 33 Heavy Infantry Gun version. David Garden then guides us around a French military museum located in Perigueux. Lastly, Mike Williams provides a detailed build of the Fine Mold's Japanese Type 5 Chi-Ri Medium Tank kit.
All this, plus 14-pages of reviews and news on all the latest must-have books, kits and modelling products.
