Model Boats  |  February 2015
"This issue includes a Full-Size Complimentary Free Plan worth £12.50 for Kirisame, a semi-scale WW2 Japanese destroyer. The plan has been drawn by Glynn Guest and as with all his plans, it makes into a practical working radio controlled model that can built by someone with hand tools and basic model making skills. In addition, Victor Croasdale has converted the Lindberg plastic kit of a US Navy Fletcher class destroyer to radio control and Dr. Marcus Rooks turns the clock back with his Jetex powered boat.
We are fortunate to be able to include some pictures of HMS Clyde to 1:48 scale, a fine reader's model and have a centre pages photo feature from Scale Model World at Telford in November. Many model boaters' visit this event, because although it is run under the auspices of the International Plastic Modellers Society, there are an increasing number of large scale plastic model boats that are of interest to radio control enthusiasts, for conversion to radio control.
We also have the usual regulars of Range Finder, where Dave Wooley is continuing with his Deans Marine HMS Skirmisher project; John Parker has a look at Tri-ang and FROG Nautical Products and Richard Simpson discusses Pressure Gauges for model steam plants.
So, I hope there is something for everyone here in this February 2015 issue.
